So I'm back at it again. And rightfully so because I haven't posted too many looks here since last summer. But I've been loving playing in my pastel and lighter hues for Spring - today I decided to play with all time favourite pastel, pink. For this look, I kept everything quite monochromatic with shades of brown to match my skintone and shades of pink to match the changing season. What are your favourite Spring colours?

(St Lawrence Gap, Christ Church, Barbados)
Last year, I was lucky enough to take my sixth trip to my motherland Barbados. Although I was born and live in the UK, my parents hail from Barbados and so I try to go as much as possible. Previous to this trip my last visit to Barbados was in 2007 so it definitely due time for me to visit again. As well as visiting my family and friends, this holiday was perfect opportunity to do some more touristy things like see the sights, doing some shopping and chowing down on authentic Caribbean food.
Barbados is an island in the east of the Caribbean. It is gorgeous island full of great beaches, geographical sites and other tourist attractions. I spent three weeks there and I still didn't get to do everything on my bucket list unfortunately. However, I did get to see, do and eat lots of stuff, so I thought I clue you up on some of my favourite bits and bites from Barbados.

I was just overcome with the feeling to do a look that was more bright and colourful. More of a springtime feeling. I've definitely finished with dark smokey eye and vampy lips as much I love them it was time to let them go. It's still quite cold in London so I decided to wear this bright pink jumper which I think transitions well over from Winter to Spring and also do a matching eyeshadow look to go with it. I got out some of my favourite MAC cosmetics favourite including Studio Fix Fluid foundation, Expensive Pink eyeshadow, Margin blush and Kinda Sexy lipstick to do this look and I loved the way it turned out! What about are you favourite spring makeup looks?

black|UP Cosmetics is a high-end beauty brand dedicated to women of colour. Based in fashion capital Paris, France the brand was developed to cater to the beauty needs of darker skin tones. As a woman of colour, it sometimes a struggle to find product that are pigmented and not ashy on my skintone. With that in mind I was eager to trial what black|Up had to offer... I picked up three different product in all from black|UP which were three of their lip lacquers, two lipsticks and one blusher (which will be reviewed separately).

Introducing the latest from Sleek MakeUp, a new line of lipsticks which are the Lip VIP Semi Matte Lipsticks. I love Sleek MakeUp. In fact in the past I have reviewed a number of their products including their original lipstick line, Sleek True Colour Lipsticks which have been one of my favourite all time lipsticks. So I was super excited when I saw these in my local Boots and pick them all up to add to my ever growing collection.
